IPKW
At IPKW — the Netherlands’ most sustainable business park — we transformed Building KB, a former chemical plant turned innovation hub, with a pioneering green intervention. Inspired by the nearby De Hoge Veluwe, we planted birch, oak, and Scots pine with undergrowth of ferns, grasses, and bluebells, creating a woodland that looks as if it has been there for decades.
Inside the vast hall, we introduced a forest of tropical black olive trees with ferns and lilyturf undergrowth, supported by grow lights. This wild, natural atmosphere softens the brutalist architecture and sets a model for future green zones across the site.
